This solution enables secure connection, centralized management, and streaming of camera data. Leveraging AWS IoT Core and SageMaker, the system uses AI to analyze video and audio, automatically detecting anomalies and triggering alerts. It’s a flexible, scalable solution that enhances surveillance efficiency while reducing operational costs.

AWS Lambda & Amazon SNS Sends instant alerts via email or SMS when AI detects anomalies.

Deployment Process: Seamless Architecture

The deployment followed a smart data flow architecture, ensuring continuous and secure processing from device to cloud:

  • Device Connection (AWS IoT Core): IP cameras are registered and authenticated using secure certificates, establishing safe communication channels.
  • Edge Optimization (Greengrass Configuration): AWS IoT Greengrass is installed on cameras or gateways to collect and optimize video/audio streams for transmission.
  • Large-Scale Streaming (Kinesis Data Streams): Real-time video/audio data is streamed and stored on Kinesis, enabling massive data processing.
  • AI Analysis (SageMaker Pipeline): Data from Kinesis is fed into SageMaker, where AI models detect anomalies such as intrusions, falls, or other incidents.
  • Automated Response (Lambda & SNS): Lambda processes AI results and triggers SNS to send instant alerts to managers via email or SMS.
